Primary Responsibilities

Agendize is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Reporting to CFO and collaborating with the other members of Agendize’s finance team in France, you be principally be responsible for keeping financial records updated, reconciling bank statements and preparing reports. You will process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts as well as other routine accounting functions through our accounting software.  A successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and will rely on and work effectively with Agendize’s external accountant.

In addition, the incumbent will provide support to the HR and Administration Senior Director as required.

The ideal candidate would be organized and adaptable to meet the developing needs of a growing company where new challenges/responsibilities will be given to employees who demonstrate resourcefulness, energy and a dedication to teamwork.

This includes:

  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and monthly statement reconciliations
  • Utilize accounting software to maintain records on a daily basis
  • Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.  Support quarterly and annual external audits.
  • Issue invoices to customers and ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Prepare payments for supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems/discrepancies
  • In coordination with other members of Agendize’s finance team, inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas punctually
  • Work effectively with the external auditor to ensure accounts are maintained in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Other accounting and financial responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
  • Provide assistance and support to HR and Administration Senior Manager


  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting
  • Proven accounting experience and familiarity with bookkeeping, accounting procedures and financial reports
  • Competency in MS Office (Inc. Excel) , databases and accounting software (e.g. Xero) as well as other software (e.g. Bamboo and Trello would an asset)
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and aptitude for numbers
  • Well-organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Bilingual (French and English)
