18 Jul Agendize provides powerful APIs at Constant Contact Innovation Jam
Last week, our friends at Constant Contact invited us to participate in their most recent Innovation Jam. These quarterly InnoJams are an opportunity for any member of the Constant Contact team to spend 2 days working together on developing innovative apps, process improvements or new products for the company.
The theme of this InnoJam was “Open Platform,” and participants were expected to create interesting mashups of different applications and platforms. For this event, Constant Contact invited Agendize, as well as PayPal and Twilio to mentor the teams. Our participation included coaching participants on getting the most of Agendize APIs, features and data, and to combine them with the Constant Contact platform to nurture SMBs’ online success.
The first day started with guest speaker Luis Solis, President of Imaginatik North America, who spoke on innovation within corporations, followed by pitches from each of the project teams. It all culminated on the second day with a “Science Fair” where each team set up a table to showcase their project and hundreds of Constant Contact employees walked through the room to see what ideas their colleagues had come up with.
The entire event was held in Constant Contact’s newly inaugurated Innovation Loft. A large space dedicated to the company’s Innovation Team, where they also operate and incubator for a number of young startups. The event and the space both show Constant Contact’s incredible commitment to innovation internally and in the greater technology community.
Overall, Agendize was happy to be invited and even happier that one of the winning teams presented a project that made extensive use of Agendize solutions.
